Robocare Inc. ("Robocare," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain and protect personal information when you visit robo-care.com or another Robocare webpage that links to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Site"), contact us by email or interact with us through a business communication linked from the Site.

This Privacy Policy applies to Robocare's corporate and informational website and related business inquiries. It does not apply to any future Robocare medical device, companion software, patient portal, clinical study, research database, employee system or other product or service that is covered by a separate privacy notice, informed consent, agreement or authorization.

Personal Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Information you provide directly. Your name, email address, telephone number, company or organization, job title, professional role, country or region and the contents of messages, attachments or other information you choose to send when you contact us.
  • Business and professional information. Information relating to your organization, professional background, investment, partnership, product-validation, research, regulatory, supplier, employment or other business interest in Robocare.
  • Website and device information. Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, links selected, date and time of access, approximate location derived from IP address, cookie or similar identifiers and diagnostic, security and usage logs.
  • Information from third-party or public sources. Business contact information that you make available through professional networks, event registrations, referrals, public company pages or other sources when relevant to an existing or potential business relationship.

We may combine information collected from these sources when reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Personal information does not include deidentified, aggregated or publicly available information where excluded from the definition of personal information under applicable law.

How We Use Personal Information

We may use personal information to:

  • operate, maintain, secure and troubleshoot the Site;
  • respond to questions, requests and other communications;
  • evaluate and manage potential investment, strategic, research, human-factors, product-validation, supplier, advisor, employment or other business relationships;
  • communicate about Robocare's development and corporate activities when permitted by law;
  • understand Site use and improve Site content, functionality and user experience;
  • protect Robocare, Site visitors and others from fraud, misuse, security threats or unlawful activity;
  • establish, exercise or defend legal rights and comply with legal, regulatory, quality, safety, recordkeeping or reporting obligations; and
  • support a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, due diligence process or similar corporate transaction.

The Site does not currently use automated decision-making or profiling to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning visitors.

How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients when reasonably necessary:

  • Service providers and processors. Providers that support website hosting and content delivery, cybersecurity, analytics, information technology, email, document management and other business operations. These providers are authorized to process information for the services they provide to us and are subject to applicable contractual or legal restrictions.
  • Professional advisors. Attorneys, accountants, auditors, regulatory consultants, insurers and other professional advisors acting under duties of confidentiality where appropriate.
  • Business counterparties. Potential or existing investors, research institutions, healthcare organizations, validation partners, suppliers, distributors, strategic partners or other counterparties when necessary to evaluate or manage a relationship and consistent with the context in which the information was provided.
  • Authorities and other parties for legal reasons. Government authorities, regulators, courts, law enforcement or other parties when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or is necessary to protect rights, safety, security or property.
  • Transaction participants. Parties and advisors involved in an actual or proposed financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets or similar corporate transaction.
  • Other parties at your direction. A party you direct us to contact or to whom you authorize us to disclose information.

Robocare does not sell personal information for money. Robocare also does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising and does not use the Site to serve targeted advertising. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Site and its hosting or technical service providers may use cookies, pixels, local storage or similar technologies that are necessary to operate and secure the Site or that provide limited audience and performance analytics. These technologies may collect website and device information described above.

You can usually control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking certain technologies may affect Site functionality. Robocare does not currently use advertising pixels or interest-based advertising on the Site.

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting. Because there is no uniform industry standard for interpreting all Do Not Track signals, the Site may not respond to them. Where applicable law requires recognition of an opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, we will process that signal as required. Because Robocare does not currently sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, an opt-out signal should not change our current practices.

Third-party services linked from or embedded in the Site may collect information under their own privacy policies. For example, if you choose to visit Robocare's LinkedIn page, LinkedIn's privacy practices apply to your activity on that service.

Medical and Consumer Health Information

The Site is a corporate information resource. It is not a patient portal, telehealth service, medical-record system, clinical service or channel for receiving patient information.

Do not send medical records, patient names, diagnoses, treatment information, photographs, device-generated health data or any other patient-identifiable or sensitive health information through ordinary email, LinkedIn or other unsecured channels linked from the Site.

Robocare does not intentionally request or collect protected health information or consumer health data through the Site. If you voluntarily send health-related information that we did not request, we may restrict access to it, use it only as reasonably necessary to address the communication or meet safety, security, legal or regulatory obligations and delete or retain it in accordance with applicable law and our recordkeeping obligations. We do not sell consumer health data or use it for advertising.

This Privacy Policy is not a HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act ("HIPAA") applies to protected health information handled by covered entities and business associates as defined by law. If Robocare later handles protected health information as a covered entity or business associate, participates in a clinical study or processes health information through a commercial product or service, the applicable contract, authorization, informed consent or separate privacy notice will govern that processing.

Where applicable state consumer-health laws provide rights concerning consumer health data, you may use the request process described under "Your Privacy Rights." You may request confirmation, access, deletion, withdrawal of consent, or an appeal, as applicable. Robocare does not request consumer health data through the Site and does not sell such data. Any unsolicited health-related information is handled only as described above.

Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to respond to and document communications, manage business relationships, maintain security, comply with legal, regulatory, quality, safety, accounting and recordkeeping obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements.

Retention periods vary according to the nature of the information, the context in which it was collected, applicable legal requirements and legitimate business needs. When personal information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete, deidentify or securely archive it, subject to applicable law and backup-management practices.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information in light of its nature and the risks involved. No website, email system, storage system or transmission method is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Please do not send highly sensitive information through ordinary email or other unsecured communication channels. If Robocare needs sensitive information for an authorized project, we will identify an appropriate process and any required agreement before collection.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you reside and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to:

  • confirm whether we process your personal information and access that information;
  • request correction of inaccurate personal information;
  • request deletion of personal information;
  • obtain a portable copy of certain personal information;
  • opt out of the sale of personal information, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising;
  • limit or withdraw consent for certain processing of sensitive personal information or consumer health data;
  • appeal a decision concerning a privacy request; and
  • receive equal service and not be unlawfully discriminated against for exercising a privacy right.

To submit a request, email webservices@robo-care.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" and identify your state, province or country of residence and the right you wish to exercise. Do not include medical records, government identification numbers or other highly sensitive information in the initial email.

We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity, authority and relationship to the information. We will use verification information only for the request and will respond within the period required by applicable law. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with the subject line "Privacy Appeal." You may also use an authorized agent where permitted by law, although we may verify the agent's authority and your identity.

Because Robocare does not currently sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising or use it for targeted advertising, no separate "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link is currently provided. If these practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any legally required choice mechanism before the change applies.

U.S. State Privacy Disclosures

The following disclosures summarize the categories of personal information that Robocare may collect through the Site and related communications, the sources and purposes of collection and the categories of recipients. They are intended to supplement the other sections of this Privacy Policy and apply only to the extent required by applicable law.

  • Identifiers and contact information. Examples include name, email address, telephone number, online identifiers, IP address and business contact details. Sources include you, your browser or device, professional networks, referrals and service providers. We use this information to operate and secure the Site, respond to inquiries, manage relationships and comply with law. It may be disclosed to service providers, professional advisors, business counterparties, authorities or transaction participants as described above.
  • Internet or other electronic-network activity. Examples include browser and device information, referral source, pages viewed, interactions, timestamps, cookie identifiers and diagnostic or security logs. Sources include your browser, device and Site service providers. We use this information for operation, security, troubleshooting and limited analytics. It may be disclosed to hosting, analytics, information-technology and security providers.
  • Professional or employment-related information. Examples include organization, title, role, professional background and business interests. Sources include you, public professional profiles, referrals and event or business contacts. We use this information to evaluate and manage business, research, investment, supplier, advisor or employment relationships. It may be disclosed to relevant service providers, advisors and counterparties.
  • Communications and submitted content. Examples include messages, inquiries, documents and attachments you choose to provide. The source is you or a person acting at your direction. We use this information to respond, maintain appropriate records and address legal, safety, quality or regulatory matters. It may be disclosed to service providers, advisors, counterparties or authorities where appropriate and lawful.
  • Sensitive personal information and consumer health data. Robocare does not intentionally request or collect these categories through the Site. Any unsolicited health-related information is handled as described under "Medical and Consumer Health Information." Robocare does not sell or use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about Site visitors.

In the preceding 12 months, Robocare has not sold personal information or shared personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Robocare has not offered a financial incentive or price or service difference in exchange for personal information. We do not knowingly collect precise geolocation, biometric identifiers, Social Security numbers, account passwords or payment-card information through the Site.

California residents may exercise applicable rights described under "Your Privacy Rights." California's "Shine the Light" law also permits certain residents to request information about disclosures for third parties' own direct-marketing purposes; Robocare does not make such disclosures. Nevada residents may submit a verified request concerning a covered sale by using the same email address; Robocare does not currently engage in such sales.

Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for a general business and professional audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 provided personal information through the Site without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent or guardian may contact us at webservices@robo-care.com.

Third-Party Links and Services

The Site may contain links to websites, social networks, publications or services operated by third parties. Robocare does not control their privacy or security practices. This Privacy Policy does not apply after you leave the Site or interact directly with a third-party service. Review the privacy notice of the relevant third party before providing personal information.

International Visitors

Robocare is a United States company. Personal information may be processed or stored in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate, whose privacy laws may differ from those in your country. Robocare will provide any additional notice or transfer safeguard required by applicable law.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Site, our practices, our business or applicable law. We will post the revised Policy and effective date on the Site and provide any additional notice required by law.
